FORD Territory Gets A Replacement in 2018 7-Seater FORD Endura

Remember the Ford Territory? It was the hugely popular 7-seater produced from 2004 to 2016, the choice for many Australian families who wanted a big car that sat higher and gave its sibling the Falcon some very stiff sales competition.

Well it looks like Ford is going to bring in a replacement. Meet the Ford Endura, a full 7-seater that will be up against the likes of Toyota Kluger, Mazda CX-9, Nissan Pathfinder, Hyundai Santa Fe and Kia Sorento.

Outside, the SUV appears to have a close resemblance to little sibling Ford Escape, which is a great cue. Chunky panels with squared off folds give it a muscular appeal, we see a little bit of Volkswagen Tiguan here which we love!

Model shown is the top end with all the bells and whistles, including Ford’s latest safety and luxury equipment, autonomous emergency braking, 360-degree camera, panoramic glass sunroof, leather trim, rear entertainment system, wheel sizes up to 21-inch and SYNC3 infotainment with 10.1-inch colour LCD.

To be competitive in this segment the new SUV will need to be priced from under $50,000 – Endura will be Ford Australia’s fourth SUV and the fourth to wear a name starting with E; following the Escape, Everest and EcoSport. Hopefully Australia will see this new model early next year.
