All New Iconic Jeep Wrangler Gets Modern Touches in 2018
The Jeep that’s started it all makes a return in 2018 in an all-new body in both two and four-door bodies.
Appearing to be an evolution of the current Wrangler, images released by Jeep show the new SUV to maintain a utilitarian stance albeit now with subtle rounding off giving it a modern look.
The new design includes traditions from the past. The vertical grille with the round headlights and the rear with its square tail-lights are what you expect a Jeep Wrangler to have, maintaining the 4x4 ‘all terrain’ image although with a more updated feel. We are happy to see the fold –down windshield is also continued in this model; off road purists will love this.
Full specifications are yet to be confirmed although Jeep has commented that the interior will be high tech with modern amenities. We have been lucky enough to catch a spy shot of the dash and it appears to be fairly advanced.
We can confirm that the new off roader will offer a wide choice of engines including 3.6-litre V6 petrol, 4-cylinder turbo charged petrol, and two turbo diesel options – 2.2 and 3.0 litre.
The 2018 Jeep Wrangler is expected to make its official debut at the Los Angeles Auto Show later this year.
