Could This Be The New Commodore Wagon?
Sure looks like it is going to be! We saw pictures of the sedan (which is actually a large hatch) at the end of 2016, and now it’s the estate (wagon) version to appear.
Holden has confirmed they will continue the Commodore's 'Sportwagon' name when it arrives in Australia early next year. The German-sourced wagon will make its world debut in Opel form at the Geneva motor show next month.
If you're in the market for a large SUV, you may want to look at this slinky estate!
Reports state that the new 2018 Commodore will be the most advanced Commodore ever, which will be lighter (saving approx. 200kgs of current model), thanks to an all-new platform and in turn will provide lower fuel consumption.
Safety tech onboard will include Head-Up Display and rear cross-traffic alert, alongside forward collision warning, lane departure warning and Blind-Spot Monitoring. A first for the large Holden will be Lane Keep Assist, Autonomous Emergency Braking, IntelliLux LED matrix lights, Adaptive Cruise Control.
Inside, new features will include massaging and ventilated front seats, heated front and rear seats, new-generation head-up display and an 8.0-inch infotainment display with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility.
Release date is still a while away, as is any pricing. The current Commodore Wagon pricing starts from $41,951.
