Rolls-Royce Joins The SUV Club

Why wouldn't one of the most luxurious motor vehicles brands join the SUV club when SUVs account for more than 50% of the world's luxury car sales?

Rolls-Royce's history began at the turn of the 20th century when an amazing partnership between two very innovative people was formed. Henry Royce, a successful engineer and Charles Rolls, the owner of one of the UK's first car dealerships both agreed to create cars and sell under the name Rolls-Royce. In 1904 the brand launched with their first produced vehicle, the Silver Ghost.

Fast forward to today, the luxury-vehicles market has grown to include a variety of car styles, including the rapidly expanding luxury SUV segment, which now includes Bentley Bentayga, Range Rover Supercharged, Mercedes-AMG  65, and Porsche Cayenne Turbo, as well as the Lamborghini Urus which is currently in development.

Introducing the Rolls-Royce Cullinan, currently still under wraps; you can expect this 4x4 to have it all, including aluminum-spaceframe architecture which is sure to underpin new Rolls-Royce cars in the future plus the signature suicide doors as seen in today’s cars.
