All New Honda Civic Hatch 2017 Launches In Australia

The all-new Honda Civic sedan launched at the end of last year and it is soon to be joined by an all-new hatch; the 10th generation of the popular Japanese brand.

The Civic nameplate has been around for approximately 40 years and this Japanese icon has grown from a tiny city car into one of the largest compact family hatchbacks there is.

The previous 2 generations prior really pushed the envelope on design, with almost futuristic angles and interior styling not common to the hatchback segment (excluding the Peugeot 308).

However, for the Civic Hatch 2017 model, Honda has abandoned the quirky design and clever packaging of its predecessor. Instead it’s gone for a more mature and upmarket approach that it hopes will lure buyers away from popular models such as the recently revised Volkswagen Golf and Mazda 3.

The All New Honda Civic 2017, looking sporty on the road

The new hatch does look sporty, albeit the mixture of lines and angles which make the car look a little fussy, however those who loved the previous 2 generations are sure to love this evolution.

Inside, there is a vast improvement with space, and the soft touch materials covering the dash looks beautiful. The old car’s bold double deck dashboard has been ditched in favour of a more straightforward arrangement.

If you're in the market for a new hatch, we recommend you add the Civic to the shortlist.

The Honda Civic Hatch 2017 Price starts at $22,390+  and it will go on sale May, 2017.
