The All New 2017 VOLVO V90 CROSS COUNTRY

Meet the all-new Volvo V90 Cross Country, after 20 years from its original conception, the premium crossover-estate is still a very appealing proposition.

Despite most buyers flocking to the hugely popular XC90 SUV, the high riding V90 estate still holds an audience of traditional estate buyers who need that little extra height in their drive.

The new car provides decent road manners, with a largely comfortable ride, superb cruising refinement and a range of relaxed and smooth diesel engines. Being closer to the ground (though 60mm higher than the regular V90) the handling is more nimble than a large SUV and will likely prove easier on the wallet thanks to better fuel economy and emissions.

Exterior styling has the same rugged look we first saw on the very first XC70 Cross Country, with muscular shoulder-line, front and rear metal skid-plates, lower plastic body cladding, and larger mirrors. Also new are the signature Volvo ‘Thor’s Hammer’ LED headlights and bespoke badging.

Inside is a luxurious space, with the latest design seen in the new XC90 and recently launched S90 sedan. The large tablet-style centre screen just about controls everything, including the heated seats and air-conditioning control.

What we love is the ‘City Safety’, your personal co-pilot warning you of danger and helps avoid accidents by braking if necessary. It can detect pedestrians, cyclists and large animals.
