Extra Large SUV 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLS Details
Mercedes-Benz’s ‘extra-large’ luxury SUV is due in Australia towards the end of the year.
The flagship SUV GLS class is the most luxurious and spacious SUV from Mercedes, measuring approx. 5.2 meters long and two meters wide.
it provides passengers with every imaginable luxury and technical feature that you could think of. Offering up to 2400 litres of cargo space, which can be accessed via the press of a button, the second and third row of seats all fold down simultaneously. There is also the convenience of another button allowing you to lower the boot sill by 50mm to improve loading access, genius!
Inside the GLS, it’s an entertainment complex. Offerings include two large 11.6 inch touch screens for the second row passengers, as part of the MBUX system. Also available is a 7.0 inch Android tablet in the armrest.
Drivers get toys like E-Active Body Control adaptive suspension and a range of engines, including an all-new turbo-petrol V8, pumping out 360kW and backed up by a temporary 'EQ boost' of 16kW for when you need that extra kick. Fuel consumption is claimed to be as low as 9.8L/100km.
The range will include various models -GLS 450, GLS 400d and GLS 350d, and assume an AMG spec will also be on the list. Prices are yet to be confirmed, currently selling from $118,730 to $221,730, this price range will give you an idea of what to expect.
