Nissan's Luxe 2018 Infinity QX80 Premium Large SUV Ready To Compete With The Euros
When Nissan introduced their luxury spin-off brand Infinity in the 90’s, it sadly did not take off the same way as their competitor's Toyota Lexus' success.
Fast forward to 2017 and the tides have turned. The Japanese carmaker has a stunning new range of models on offer that give the Euros a run for their money.
The top of the model list is the huge luxury QX80 SUV. Based on the Nissan Patrol, the QX80 is unmistakably grand and targeted towards those wanting a premium large SUV.
For 2018, the QX80 receives a fresh makeover where the official launch takes place at the Dubai International Motor Show on November 14.
Now with a more upscale appearance, it features a new front fascia with a more prominent grille along with new headlights, revised air intakes, and less gaudy front fender vents.
Looking at the rear, there are restyled taillights and an updated bumper. The tailgate has also been redesigned and features a single strip of chrome trim. 20-inch wheels will come standard but 22-inch wheels will be also be available.
Inside it is pure luxe! There is new wood trim, leather stitching options, larger rear entertainment screens, and improved storage areas. More insulation in the doors and behind the dashboard should also improve in the reduction of cabin noise.
We believe there is still no diesel option which means the thumping 298kW 5.6-litre V8 petrol engine is carried over.
Pricing is TBC although at approximately $122,000 drive away for the current model hopefully this figure doesn’t head too far north.
