Tesla All New Model Y Details and World Reveal Date

The next model coming from the all-electric car brand Tesla will be a new mid-size SUV, the Model Y.

Looking very similar upfront to the (soon to released) Model 3, and the rear of similar design to the current Model X, the new Y will have the dynamics of a sports car yet the functionality of an SUV.

Available with the option of 7 seats, Tesla founder Elon Musk has reported the Y will be the ‘the safest mid-sized SUV in the world’, with all the familiar AutoPilot active safety tech currently on offer within the current Tesla range.

Models for Australia are yet to be confirmed, with the standard model offering a 370km range, through to a high performance model that sprints 0-100km/h in 4.8sec, offering a 448km range.

World release date is scheduled for September/October 2020, Australia hopefully seeing the new model in 2021 with a starting cost of approximately $55,000.
